How to Start a Career in Real Estate in Malaysia

Real Estate Career in this business are classified into two categories:

a) Real estate negotiators; and,

b) Real estate agents.

Real estate negotiators (REN) are sales people who work for and under real estate agents. 

Real Estate Agent (REA)

A REA can own and operate his/her own real estate agency and can employ up to 30 real estate negotiators to assist with the provision of real estate services. These include selling, leasing or searching (buying) a property for clients.

How to become a Real Estate Negotiator (REN)?

He/ She must be above the age of 18 years to be eligible to be certified as a Real Estate

Negotiator (REN), He/She must then attend a two days course called Negotiator Certification Course (NCC) by any approved training company (Listed in BOVAEA website). But he/she must be attached with a Registered Agent on a Full Time Basis.

Once he has completed the 2 days course, he/she will be issued a REN Tag complete with all the Negotiator information. REN Tag must be worn at all times during the entire conduct of business.

With the NCC certificate and REN Tag, you are all ready to start your career.

Start calling your contacts and your neighborhood. Either by calls or through direct mails

Brand yourself through social media and consistently publicise your sales success
